It’s that time of year again! Everyone is ready for that blessed Thanksgiving break. However, as the break approaches, it only gets colder and colder. Being outdoors becomes less favorable. One of the biggest drawbacks to the cold is how hard it becomes to stay fashionable. We all want to bundle up in thermal leggings and marshmallow coats and be done with it. We tend to forget that there is one accessory that can save the day! Scarves keep us warm and add sophistication to your winter look. Rocking a scarf is easy to do, especially since there are so many options to choose from. There are endless patterns and lengths. There are several types that are currently taking over campus: oversized, infinity (eternity) and knit scarves. This Fashionista is the first to jump on this trend and wrap herself in a giant knit scarf.
The colors and the pieces of this Fashionista’s outfit are based around the look of her warm fuzzy scarf from Urban Outfitters. Her maroon corduroy jacket is simple and allows the scarf to be the focal point of the outfit. The other pieces in her outfit are solid and don’t distract from her beautiful scarf. She wears a simple black thermal shirt, blue jeans, black Chelsea boots and clear-framed wayfarer glasses. She adds a matte red lip that ties the fall look together perfectly.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Thrift trendy pieces to make an outfit more fun! I basically only wear black and I wanted to integrate more colorful pieces into my outfits without making a big investment, so I went thrifting!”
