If there’s anything I love in fashion, it’s floral and midi skirts. How could you not love those two things if you love fashion? The designers at Erdem apparently share my love for those two characteristics because they speckled their spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection with fun florals and skirts that hit below the knee. While my closet certainly doesn’t allow for any Erdem pieces at the moment (ah, the struggles of a college student), a girl can certainly dream—and what’s more? A girl can certainly interpret those runway pieces and styles into her own wardrobe.
I wanted to add a midi skirt and fun, floral print to my closet as soon as possible and when I first spotted this printed midi dress, I fell in love. It’s more bohemian than a lot of the Erdem looks, but I love it. It’s flowy, gorgeous and great for twirling; could there even be a better combination? I paired the dress with some boho-inspired accessories, applied my favorite red-orange lipstick and felt fabulous. And feeling fabulous is all that really matters in an outfit anyway, am I right? Erdem is great, but if you can feel fabulous for a fraction of the cost, embrace it.
I can’t wait to find different ways to wear this dress. A classic nude pump and a messy braid for accessories, perhaps? Maybe a leather jacket thrown over the top? The possibilities are endless. Just for the record, I still wouldn’t mind a little Erdem spring 2015 in my closet sometime in the future.
