Don’t get me wrong, I love colors. Orange, pink, yellow and purple are all fun, vibrant colors that have the ability to brighten up any day. But I have found myself recently sticking with the classic black and white look. You can never go wrong with black and white. You don’t have to worry about matching shades. Just throw on your favorite B&W pieces and you’re off!
Alexander MQueen proves to be the king of B&W with a pop of color here and there. Alexander MQueens’ pre-fall 2015 collection was an absolute stunner. His use of black and white with a little bit of leather created a modern look that was to die for. As a strong believer in black, white and leather, it was a no-brainer that I had to try it out for myself.
Knee-length dresses and skirts were dominant on the runway, so that’s where I started. My knee-length white skirt is comfortable and class appropriate. I tucked in a black polka-dot sheer long sleeve shirt to complement the white. The black sheer gives my ensemble a modern look.
I added a pop of color to my outfit by throwing on my favorite shoes. My blue suede heels give me just enough height to elongate my legs, while still being walkable. The last thing you want is to trip on a brick on the way to class or dinner!
Get My Look: 1. A black, polka-dot long sleeve top. 2. A high-waisted white skirt. 3. A super cool leather jacket. 4. Rockin’ blue suede heels.
