The weather here in Chicago has been unpredictable lately with rain one day and sunshine the next. Therefore, waterproof clothes have a practical aspect as well. But it doesn’t have to be raining for you to rock this trend.
I love trends that just look really fun to wear. I was drawn to this clear jacket because I had never seen anyone wearing something similar and I like pieces that are unique. Taking inspiration from Marc Jacobs, I toned down bright yellow shorts with neutral colors. I love the cheery combination of yellow and white. Since there’s a lot going on in this look, I decided to stick with a basic plain white T-shirt underneath the jacket. I finished the look with a ladylike cross-body bag and printed espadrilles.
I couldn’t wait for a rainy day to wear this jacket, so I wore it on a day when there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. I think this trend is even more fun when it’s not raining. Don’t be afraid to try out this edgier trend. A clear jacket is worth splurging on to wear rain or shine.
