Hello, fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos, and welcome! My name is Jonathan Reynoso and I live in Los Angeles, CA. I am currently a senior at Whittier College, where I am double majoring in Business Administration––with a Marketing and Management concentration––and Spanish Language & Literature. I am beyond honored to have the opportunity to be a part of the Style Guru team for the F/W 2015 season! Through this internship, I hope to further develop my own understanding of fashion while effectively providing my readers with information and valuable insight on current and upcoming trends.
Sleek, chic and modernly revitalized, I am always eager to observe, understand and take inspiration from the various beacons of fashion. Living in contradiction, my own personal style is flighty and temperamental, formal and informal at the same time. Never afraid to delve into the unknown, I consistently attempt to revive and modernize classic ideas and concepts with edgy, clean styling. There’s nothing a little bit of layering, leather and black can’t fix.
For this monochromatic look, I paired contrasting textured leather pants from Forever 21 with a pair of chelsea boots from ASOS. A personal favorite of mine, leather pants always give any look a distinct, sleek edginess, no matter how simplistic. I then layered a longline T-shirt with side-zipper detailing from H&M with a leather biker jacket from Topman. The epitome of cool, the now iconic wardrobe staple instantly allows any look to be crisp and effortless. To finalize the look I accessorized with a watch and sunglasses, both from Aldo.
