Hey Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Nadia Karizat and I am beyond excited to begin my second semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista! I’ve had so much fun this summer photographing the most stylish individuals on the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor campus and can only imagine how beautiful the fashion will be this fall!
I am a sophomore studying Communications with a triple minor in Digital Studies, Intergroup Relations Education and Business Administration. In the future, I hope to work for a company that values creativity and am currently also completing an internship for the social media department at my university where I’m gaining relevant skills to hopefully find my dream job!
When I’m not running around campus photographing people and gathering stories, I’m probably writing a blog post, recording a video for my YouTube channel or eating mangoes. Aren’t mangoes the greatest? I’m an avid lover of music, food (no, I cannot choose a favorite) and human rights. Dresses, playsuits and oversized fashion pieces are my absolute favorite, which is exactly why I’m so excited for the cooler weather the Fall season is sure to bring. I cannot wait to pull out my oversized jumpers from storage to layer and wear! In the look above, I’m wearing my new favorite jumpsuit and have sugar plum hair chalk in my hair.
Since starting this internship, I’ve been developing my own unique style that I would describe as chic and fun, but more importantly, affordable. All college students know what it’s like to have to maintain an affordable lifestyle while focusing on their school work and extracurriculars. It’s all a matter of finding the balance that sets you on the path towards optimum happiness. In my blog posts, I always try to provide links to affordable items that college students on any budget can consider purchasing. So, keep a look out for that!
