Hello, Fashionistas/os! My name is Janet Morales; I will be a senior this fall at Pacific Union College. My major is Communications with an emphasis in journalism, and I plan to pursue a career in fashion journalism. This will be my fifth semester writing for CollegeFashionista.
As some of you might know, I grew up in Portland, Oregon. I had the chance to travel abroad two years ago, and I’ve been studying in the Napa Valley area in California.
I love fashion! I enjoy reading fashion magazines and going on Twitter for the latest fashion news, and I like Instagram and Pinterest for fashion inspiration. This summer as part of the CFReads for CollegeFashionista, I had the chance to read many great books that I highly recommend. Leave Your Mark, My Paris Dream and The Knockoff are all great reads for when you get tired of reading those textbooks this fall quarter/semester.
Style-wise I personally really love how the French dress-elegant yet effortless. They can look laid back but know how to dress well for any occasion. Something I took back with me from my time in Europe was dressing presentable wherever you may go. Plus, you feel great when looking your best.
Here, I decided to go for a cool laid back look. I’m wearing a plaid button-down over a loose white tank top, which are paired with a high-waisted dark wash jean, and a colorful necklace from Zara, Ray-Ban sunglasses, a black over the shoulder purse and a pair of black pointy toe flats for accessories.
