Hello! My name is Marisa Banke and I just started my sophomore year at the University of Dayton. I have been reading posts on CollegeFashionista for a while and am thrilled to begin my first semester as a Style Guru!
I am majoring in marketing and hope to someday live in New York City working in the fashion industry. I have loved fashion for as long as I can remember but have always tended to stick to more trendy pieces. This year I am trying to become more bold with my style. While in college it is so easy to slip into the leggings and crewneck sweatshirt everyday funk, I am a firm believer in the saying, “dress well, test well”… while being comfortable of course.
While I’m so happy to get back into the school routine, I am also excited for fall. It is my favorite season fashion wise because of the neutral colors and cozy cardigans, just to name a few. From fall to winter I tend to stick to the jeans, riding boots and sweater uniform and love to accessorize with fun scarves. With the mornings already a little chilly, today I opted for the oh-so-comfy joggers and quarter length striped tee– perfect for in and out of the classroom. I am never without my black and gold watch, as well as Alex and Ani bracelets. They are so simple but add just the perfect touch.
I am so looking forward to being a CollegeFashionista Style Guru and cannot wait for what the rest of the semester brings!
