This week’s article is going beyond Boulder’s borders. I traveled back home to Madison, Wisconsin and came across this Fashionista’s Badger style.
During my weekend back in Wisconsin, I found this Fashionista’s game day outfit that was great for the upcoming fall weather. Whether it’s tailgating before the game, walking from one side of campus to Camp Randall, or dancing to Jump Around after the third quarter, this outfit has you prepared for all that a Badger game day can throw your direction.
To incorporate the “Badger red” into this game day outfit, this Fashionista decided to layer her casual white T-shirt with Madewell’s “ex-boyfriend” flannel shirt. Not only is this flannel shirt great for those early morning cold game days, it also adds a touch of fun. With the ability to roll up the sleeves or leave simply leaving the flannel open to show off its different design without clashing. Keeping the boyfriend trend alive, she wore distressed boyfriend jeans as a comfortable and effortless feature to the outfit. Boyfriend jeans are all the rave right now, and honestly, I love it. Who wouldn’t want to rock a pair of jeans that are not only comfortable but meant to be loose. On a game day, it’s crucial to have the right pair of shoes on, or else walking and jumping around will be unenjoyable.
By pairing a patterned pair of Nike Roshe shoes to this outfit it makes game day outfit cute yet comfortable. The design on the Roshe sneakers doesn’t stand out but still give a unique pop to the bottom of the outfit. Finally, a fun fact about this Badger Fashionista, she actually goes to school in Oregon! While being a Badger fan, she’s also die hard Ducks fan which she slyly shows off by wearing her green flash lens aviators to Badger games! Ray-Bans, or any other brand, of flash lenses provide a statement of color without being overwhelming. I am, sadly, the victim of a flash lens addiction and swear by them with any outfit.
