Hello Fashionistas/os, my name is Maggie Reynolds. I am a freshman studying Public Relations and Apparel Merchandising at Indiana University– Bloomington. I am a Midwestern girl, born and raised in Wisconsin. I chose IU, not only because of the beautiful campus, but to get an out-of-state experience while still being close to home. This will be my first semester as a Style Guru, and I am excited to discover and share all of the styles here at Indiana University!
Fashion has been a love of mine throughout my life. In fact, it influences and accentuates my personality and day-to-day lifestyle. For as long as I can remember, I have obsessed over fashion publications and blogs, which developed my personal style, encouraged me to push fashion boundaries and gave me confidence to pursue a career in the fashion industry! My first pursuit was in June of 2014, when I created my very own blog dedicated to my everyday style named Britvasion2.
When I’m not obsessing over clothes, I can be found drinking obscene amounts of coffee. I also love to travel, having developed a sense of wanderlust at a young age! When I’m back home, I like to hang out on the lake, spend time with friends and binge-watch classic films.
Much of my style is inspired by the mod-culture of the 1960’s which produced fashion icons such as Twiggy, Brigitte Bardot, Jackie O and Audrey Hepburn. My personal style is generally feminine, yet minimalistic. My shopping favorites are Free People, Topshop, Revolve Clothing and ASOS because of the variety each store offers (not to mention the online convenience). I can’t wait to start sharing IU styles with you!
