Waking up for my early eight A.M. classes are never easy. Usually, I am rushing out the door and trying to make it to class on time. I need an easy to put together but stylish outfit to throw on so that I have enough time to grab some oh so needed coffee. When I am came across Bottega Veneta’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection, a combination of sporty chic, classic and comfortable, I knew I found my fashion inspiration for the rest of the semester. I love that this collection focused on the ballet barre; the ballerina-esque qualities could be seen throughout. Not to mention the color scheme, the simplistic styles and the active wear inspired looks are all my favorite details that I use in my own everyday style as well.
Inspired mostly by the ballet aspect of the collection but wanting to add my own spin on the look, I paired a ballerina wrap top with linen shorts and a pair of high-top sneakers, adding a little grunge to a feminine start. The loose linen shorts balanced out the tightness to the wrap top, while the sneakers added a sportier vibe. My men’s watch and silver bracelets were the finishing touches to the outfit. I would definitely wear this outfit again, maybe with my favorite metallic Birkenstocks and switching out the jewelry to have a softer more feminine appeal. Either way, I have a stylish outfit and tons of fashion inspiration for future days to come.
