Have you ever watched That ’70s Show? If you answered “no” to that question, I give you full permission to open a new window and watch an episode. Let’s all reminisce about Ashton Kutcher in the beginning of his prime, the funny jokes they have made and the wonderful ’70s fashion. The ’70s fashion was a time of mood rings, flared jeans and the iconic Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress. As most of us know, history repeats itself along with fashion.
If a full ’70s attire is intimidating, lets break down the outfit and focus on one key element. In my head, I’m picturing an iconic ’70s look of a flared peasant top, flared jeans and wavy hair. This Fashionista decided to focus on one key element of the ’70s attire, flare jeans. She decided to pair her flared jeans with a crochet cropped shirt. Since the jeans have such a wide leg from the calf to the ankle, the modern approach is to pair the jeans with a contrasting element. For example, wide flared jeans can be paired with a more form fitting top. To add to her bohemian look, she layered necklaces of different lengths and textures. She finished off her look with metallic sandals.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “At the moment, it is extremely hot in Delaware. I’m living in simple lace bralettes and easy sundresses. When I’m running from one class to another in this sweaty weather, I need garments that are breathable and breezy.”
