One pivotal trend during the summertime is printed pieces, especially tropical prints. Often times, the transition from summer to fall can still be a rough patch in every Fashionista/o’s life. You still want to hold onto your bright colored tank top, RAD patterned shirt or still wear that pair of sandals you never want to take off. As much as I love autumn and layering, I always feel a sense of sadness whenever I have to put my pineapple earrings or even my ice cream sandwich dress in the back of my closet. Late September and early October tend to fluctuate with temperatures—the morning unbearably bitter cold, but then miraculously in the afternoon, it gets so hot you’re tearing away your knitted sweater.
Have no fear; there is still a way to incorporate your never-ending summer vibes in with your full fall wardrobe! This Fashionisto was spot on with this season transitional look. While autumn brings a somber color palette, this Fashionisto paired the palette nicely while still clinging onto those summer prints. His pineapple printed button-down is perfect for brightening up a rainy autumn day in class while you are daydreaming about the beach. The start of fall is the best catalyst to bring out the comfortable clothing. Taking that into consideration, he decided to wear his ultra cozy Tech Stretch skinny jeans. Keeping it classy, he dressed his attire up with an Arvo watch. This Fashionisto styled his men’s oxford shoes to make this casual look turn sharp. Every outfit should finish off with a functional accessory, so why not top it off with a trendy canvas bag?
If you’re stuck in a rut about trying to transition from summer to fall, or any season for that matter, it never hurts to wear a piece of something from the past season. Forget the term “out with the old, in with the new,” because there is nothing wrong with reminiscing seasons past in your wardrobe.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I don’t have much in the way of clothes to layer with, so I like to compensate by wearing shirts with a lot of visual interest. Cuffed pants and dress shoes are almost always a must for me as well, especially in the fall!”
