Saturday and Sunday have arrived once again and there are endless possibilities when it comes to making plans for the weekend. Here in San Francisco, we like to spend these anticipated days by exploring our beloved city and finding a chic cafe to grab a coffee or sit down for a yummy brunch. Unfortunately, the weather here can be unpredictable going from sunny to foggy in a matter of minutes. So what’s a Fashionista to wear on a weekend full of fun activities while still being comfortable and rocking the streets in style?
I spotted this Fashionista exploring the always-interesting Castro District of San Francisco. She hit the streets in a minimalistic ensemble that looked both effortless and cool. My favorite piece of her look is her parka. This one in particular is a perfect staple for any Fashionista’s closet. The lavender hue is acceptable for both fall and spring and the length is both modern and versatile. It’s light enough to layer over her cropped sweater and high-waisted skinny jeans without overheating her, yet keeps her warm from the crisp fall air. Her Stan Smith sneakers gave her look a sporty feel, while keeping her feet comfortable and happy as she braved the steep hills of the city. Instead of using a purse, she threw on a Rebecca Minkoff backpack to keep her arms and hands free for her adventurous day ahead. She accessorized by keeping it simple with a pair of black aviator sunglasses and a long, dainty necklace. All of these pieces are perfect to take on a day in the city with comfort and style. This city-chic chick completed her weekend look perfectly by sipping on her Mint Mojito coffee from Philz (an SF favorite).
One Simple Change: One way to transform this look from a day of espresso and exploration into a girl’s night out would be to substitute the sneakers for a pair of black booties and switch from a backpack to a sleek cross-body bag. Now you’re ready to take on the city by night!
