Banana Republic has done it again! Another perfect runway show is added to their belt. Banana Republic’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection is both chic and professional. This collection features a variety of revamped patterns that range from camouflage to floral. Their spring collection has a piece to fit anyone’s style. Other major trends that can be seen in this collection are trench coats, wide-legged trousers, chambray and leather.
This collection wasn’t hard to relate to because it brought together some of my all-time favorite pieces. For instance, trench coats, a favorite of mine, are modeled multiple times in this collection. Above, you can see me sporting my classic, belted trench coat that is actually from Banana Republic. My trench coat resembled the one modeled in this collection’s fifth look, which is an ensemble I was inspired by the most. I styled my outfit in a similar color palette as the one used in this look. This look brought together beige, olive green and my favorite, black! Instead of sporting a pattern like most of the models in this collection, I chose to pair my trench coat with a solid olive green blouse. Unfortunately, the weather is very cold here on the East Coast, so I chose not to style my outfit with leather shorts like the ones shown in the collection. However, I was still inspired by the leather look. Rather than pairing this outfit with shorts, I chose leather leggings as a close alternative. To finish up the look, I chose to wear classic, black, pointed flats. Pointed-toe shoes are shown numerous times in this collection, which helps give the collection a professional feel.
Get My Look: 1. A classic trench coat. 2. An olive green top. And leather leggings.
