Most of my fall wardrobe is full of neutral colors, but there is a trend this season that has caught my eye. This trend is known as patchwork, and the reason I love this trend is because it is something different, yet very chic in its own way.
For this outfit, I was inspired by the Etro fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection, which features several designs including the patchwork trend. The patterns used in Etro’s designs are very diverse and his color palette has a wide range. Even though the color scheme includes many different choices, the colors remain mostly neutral. My look includes many blues in the patchwork design, but these blues remain subtle in tone.
The patchwork look that I am wearing can be toned down with the black velvet and lace long sleeve cardigan. I also wanted to remain in the neutral color scheme with my brown scrunched faux leather boots. I wanted to achieve balance of colors when putting this look together, and the black cardigan really helps to tone down the blues.
My outfit includes a romper from Zara and the black velvet and lace long sleeve cardigan from Wet Seal. To add to the look, I wore a black rope necklace with a gold elephant for a jewelry accent. I also wore the brown scrunched faux leather boots to pull the whole outfit together from the ground up.
This outfit is simple; it is stylish, yet takes minimal effort to pull together. I even added some rings and a neutral colored watch to add a little bit of flair.
Get My Look: 1. A jumpsuit. 2. A dark colored cardigan. 3. Mid-length boots.
