Burberry’s pre-fall 2016 collection is filled with a neutral color palette, bringing nudes, stark yellows and olive greens to 2016. This collection features slouchy jackets lined in fur, perhaps my favorite part of the collection. Pairing the jackets with a dark wash, flared pant adds a dramatic flare to the looks. Adding button-ups to the collection styles it from a more casual look into a more sophisticated trend. And of course the luxurious purses in this collection fit the very definition of sophistication. This stylish collection includes must-have staple pieces that should be kept on hand in all 2016 wardrobes.
In my preparation for my 2016 wardrobe, I incorporated many of the styles from this collection. With my obsession for jackets satisfied with this collection, I was inspired to feature an olive green toned jacket into my own look. Its fur-lined hood encompassed the casual feel of the collection and fashioned it into an everyday trend. To complement the neutral colors of the collection, I wore a black button-up.
Also, instead of a flared pant, I paired the jacket and button-up with a simple pair of skinny jeans. By having the skinny jeans in two different washes in place of a simple dark wash, the skinny jeans’ two tones provide more depth to the outfit.
To further utilize the idea of fur, depth and comfort into my outfit, I wore a pair of brown combat boots rimmed with white faux fur. I added a checkered purse to maintain the neutral colors of the collection. To accessorize the look further, I added my own touch to the look with a pair of patterned sunglasses to make Burberry’s collection my own.
