BEAUTY BAR: Baby It's Gold Outside

Finally! The holiday season has arrived! The snow has begun to fall, it’s so peaceful. But then, the panic sinks in. It’s the time where you have countless holiday parties and you need to find multiple outfits because come on… are you really going to be an outfit repeater? But wait…not only do you have an outfit to worry about, but your make up needs to be looking good. You can only go so far with a flashy outfit for New Year’s Eve, so what do you do? You resort to your eye makeup. You guessed it, it’s time to bring out the gold!

I caught this Fashionista strutting her awesome look on the way to a holiday party with her friends before leaving for winter break. But since it’s not technically the holidays yet, this Fashionista still wanted to look fierce and enhance her natural beauty. She decided to wear a little black dress paired with adorable booties and a cozy jacket. Because her outfit was all-black, she thought doing a black smoky eye would be too much, so she resorted to a natural smoky eye with browns and golds.

Metallic eye makeup is a must for the holiday season. Gold looks good on everyone, whether you have blue, green or brown eyes. It will contrast the eye color, making your eyes become the center of attention. You can never go wrong with gold eyeshadow, it can be worn daily and is completely safe. But since the New Year’s eve is around the corner, it’s time to step out of your comfort zone and get a little bolder with your makeup.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To complete this look, you need an extremely pigmented gold eyeshadow and an angled eyeliner brush to be able to smudge out the eyeliner. Using a liquid eyeliner pen instead of an eyeliner pencil will make this look more dramatic.
