Hey there, Fashionistas/os!
I’m Rachel. I’m a sophomore at New York University studying marketing and statistics. This is my second semester as a Style Guru and I can’t wait! If you’re in New York this semester, dress to impress and maybe I’ll stop you for some photos.
I’m still playing around with my personal style, but over the past year it has gotten much more minimalistic. I’ve always loved black and now that I live in the “Big Apple,” I can finally get away with wearing it head to toe. I’m completely obsessed with Olivia Palermo and Carine Roitfeld’s styles. They are always on top of trends, but manage to keep it looking classic and timeless. I’ve always been inspired to try the infamous five piece French wardrobe, but when I look at my closet I can’t imagine getting rid of some items, even if I never wear them anymore.
During my down time from work and school, I am usually scribbling away in my adult coloring book (It’s a real thing. Look it up!) or watching fashion documentaries on Netflix. There are a lot of amazing ones on there and I recommend you go and watch some immediately. Suddenly you find yourself transported from your bland dorm room to the Christian Dior atelier with the seamstresses creating couture looks. It’s my favorite way to procrastinate.
Other things about me: I hate all seafood, I live in a suite of 12 girls, for fun, I decorate things in my apartment like photos on Pinterest and I have a labradoodle, labrador-poodle mix, named Bucky who is the best cuddler I’ve ever met.
I can’t wait to spot more Fashionistas/os on the streets of New York this semester.
So throw on your Louboutins and get ready for another semester of fabulous fashion and fun!
