Hey, hey, hey! My name is Alex Alavi. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and attend Haverford College in Philadelphia, but am currently located in Brussels, Belgium! Studying abroad is a once in a lifetime experience that I cannot wait to share with all of my fellow Fashionistas/os! I will be studying Political Science and Marketing while I am abroad. I’ve been reading CollegeFashionista since my freshman year and I am elated to represent all of us fashion lovers here at Haverford College!
You can usually find me reading People or scrolling through Vogue with an iced-coffee in hand. My favorite things include pizza, cake and a good rom-com. Although I love runway, Balmain and Ellie Saab as much as the next girl, my new favorite obsession is athleisure. Nothing beats feeling comfortable AND stylish, am I right? I’d also like to admit, I’m a recovering shoe addict. Not by choice, of course.
My closet says a lot about me. It’s color coded (mostly black), in perfect order, and also contains WAY too many pieces. If you haven’t guessed, I’m one of those girls who buys everything she sees. My style is always changing. You may find me in jeans, a cable knit sweater, a cute pair of booties and some cool jewelry, or you could find me rocking an oversized sweatshirt, lululemon Wunder Unders and some old school adidas Superstars. That’s what I love about fashion and what ultimately sparked my interest in fashion all together. It is never set in stone.
I hope to share my ever-changing personal style with all of you and inspire Fashionistas/os all over the world to experiment with their style as well!
