Congratulations Fashionistas and Fashionistos! The fall semester is finally over. Time to prep yourselves for get togethers with friends from high school, home cooked meals and spending the holidays with your loved ones. Winter break is also the perfect time to plan for Spring and Summer internships. I personally begin to panic when I see my friends finalizing plans before I’ve even considered what I’ll be doing in the next coming months. So start brainstorming!
This is for all of you Fashionistos. I’m giving you full permission to check internship wardrobe planning off of your to-do list because this post is all you’ll need. I know all internships are different and have different attire regulations, but that actually is why this Fashionisto’s look works so well. It is classic as well as versatile.
I’ll start from the bottom with these Stacy Adams Double Monk Strap dress shoes. Investing in some killer dress shoes is pertinent for workplace success, and Stacy Adams’s prices are on point while still maintaining quality. Next I’ll direct you to the accessories: a trendy mustache tie clip, pocket square, wristwatch, and even these Weekend Casual Suspenders. Dressing business casual can often get a little boring, making accessories a fun and affordable way to spice up your look. Most of these pieces came from Sprezza Box, a monthly subscription box company (and great gift idea). Topped off with some Ray-Ban Sunglasses for the occasional work errand, this look is complete and internship ready.
Regardless of your dress code, I highly advise you to overdress rather than underdress. This Fashionisto always says, “Dress how you want to be addressed.”
One Simple Change: Swap out the Levi Brand denim-style pants for tan dress pants and your all set to wow in a job interview. You could also lose the blazer and throw on some sneakers for a dressy-casual and smart first day of spring semester outfit.
