Hello all you Fashionistas and Fashionistos out there! My name is Allie Sarachene and I am a freshman at Kent State University, as well as a first time intern for CollegeFashionista. With a major in Journalism and a minor in Fashion Media, I’m beyond excited to introduce you to my sense of style and share all the RAD ones that strut Kent’s campus.
Born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, I always knew I was meant to live in a city. I love everything it offers, from the buzzing streets, the people and of course the incredible fashion. It’s all so glamorous to me, and I find myself daydreaming about it all too often.
In my free time you can find me at the gym or re-watching The Office, my all time favorite show, because who doesn’t love to laugh with Steve Carell? I also have a passion for writing, which leaned me towards a Journalism major. Writing has always been a part of my life. Ever since I could remember, I was always reading new books and writing in my dairy, starting every submission with, you guessed it, “Dear Diary.” Going back and re-reading my daily thoughts and adventures is way more entertaining than it sounds. I’ve always had an eye out for new styles, but I discovered my love for fashion during my high school years. I love to create and express myself whether it be through writing, makeup or the way I dress. With my mother being more on the sporty side, growing up I had to pave my own road fashion wise. As I look back, I’m thankful for this because it gave me the chance to discover my own fashion sense (while watching a ton of YouTube tutorials along the way).
When it comes to describing my style, I can’t pinpoint one exact word! I’m everything from boho to chic, to just clean cut and simple. I love to wear clothes that not only make a statement, but that set me apart from others as well.
Now to the important part–my outfit! During the winter, my go-to look would be a pair of black leggings, an oversized sweater and black booties. I love to finish this off with my favorite hoop earrings and a dark matte burgundy lipstick. With sweaters, you can either dress them up or down, which is perfect for a cozy day in or a night out.
Working with the CollegeFashionista team will give me the opportunity to introduce my style, and I can’t wait to kick things off!
