Hello, Fashionistas/os! My name is Maggie Reynolds, and I am currently a freshman at Indiana University—Bloomington. This spring will be my second semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista, and I’m so excited that I can continue to share all the styles here on campus!
First, I’ll give you all a little background about myself. I joined the CollegeFashionista Style Guru team back in August because I love fashion. My love of fashion started early when I would play dress up and continued throughout my formative years, during which I created my own fashion blog. These experiences have led me to major in Apparel Merchandising. Some of my other favorite things include my dogs, whom I’m obsessed with; traveling and shopping, which brings us in a full circle back to fashion.
Currently, I’m wearing big and cozy sweaters because I just can’t with the cold weather. I love accessorizing with scarves, bracelets and a bold lip color. When everything in winter is dull and your skin is basically translucent, a bold lip color is a refreshing contrast that can brighten your mood and give you a little more confidence that day. I paired my sweater and aforementioned accessories with my favorite distressed denim jeans and some studded suede slip-on sneakers to give my look a little bit of edge.
It’s so fun to mix-and-match, switch up styles, and play around with colors or patterns. Trends are constantly evolving and recycling, which gives you so much room to change up your personal look from season-to-season, or year-to-year. Fashion is like a never ending game of dress up.
