Hello, fellow fashion lovers!
My name is Allie and I am a senior at West Virginia University and am majoring in strategic communications with a specialization in PR. I am also minoring in business. I grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, as a Southern Belle at heart that now resides in “almost heaven”, West Virginia. There are so many reasons that have really made me fall in love with WVU. From being a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, to attending football games, experiencing all four seasons, earning a great education and so much more.
My goal is to pursue a job as the PR person for a fashion company or to become an event planner. For my internship last summer, I worked at a Bridal shop and managed the PR, along with designing some dresses and modeling in Pittsburgh Fashion Week.
I really enjoy creating looks that express my personality. Although I can’t say I always maintain a specific style routine, I try to play off of current trends and whatever sparks my interest.
This outfit was inspired by the weather transition from the fall to winter season. Winter weather tends to make us feel dreary and lazy, but living in WV, I try to spice up my outfits with my current hat, scarf and vest obsessions. These pieces can play up any outfit and tie a look together. I chose my statement black hat to pair with my fun, textured cream vest. My black heeled booties and distressed, light washed jeans were added to create a more casual feel to complete the look. I hope you continue to read and enjoy my articles!
