Allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Alexis O’Keefe and wow, this is my fourth and final STYLE GURU BIO! Over the past few years, I have immensely enjoyed reading and writing about the styles found on college campuses around the world but the most valuable aspect of being a Style Guru has been the people. This position has led me to cross paths with so many amazing Fashionistas (and Fashionistos!) who have taught me about fashion, careers and life, so, thank you! In this final semester, I am stoked to roam the Florida State University campus one last time in search of the raddest students.
As always, my style is pretty much undefinable. Last semester, I coined the term “style nomad” to describe my fashion choices. Let me explain. Sometimes I wake up and I think, “Hmmm, I’m feeling like a cutie today”, so I dress accordingly. On other days, I wake up feeling like a hip-hop music superstar so I channel my inner A$AP Rocky and turn my swag all the way up. I like to be free with the way I dress so I don’t feel tethered to one specific style. Hence the term, style nomad. This season, I declare several must-haves. The Florida winters don’t last very long so I like to take full advantage of the chill. Vegan leather jackets are at the top of my list. Layer the piece over anything and it will always look rad. I’ve also had this major obsession with denim. I would say that 50 percent of my closet consists of denim shirts, dresses, and pants, so you will be seeing a lot of that this semester. Lastly, who doesn’t love accessories? This season I am really digging the ring stacking trend. Buy a slew of those babies and mix and match to your heart’s desire.
Although I am sad to be entering my final semester as a Style Guru, I am looking forward to once again spreading the RAD CollegeFashionista love on the FSU campus. I plan to go out with a bang and bring the Florida heat one last time.
