Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Faith Zwicker and I am a fashion merchandising major at Kent State University with minors in fashion media and marketing. Growing up my favorite thing to do was play “fashion show” and create crazy outfits that I would then wear out in public. Since then my style has refined itself a little, but I’m still figuring it out.
I always knew I wanted to do some job in the fashion industry, any job that I could. After attempting sketching and sewing and realizing they weren’t my strong suit I decided to pursue other possible paths for fashion. Merchandising is the perfect fit and I’m so excited to see where it will lead.
Growing up I attended private school; forced into wearing the typical uniform full of plaid skirts, polo button-downs and blazers. Think of a less glamourous Gossip Girl (although I like to imagine it was exactly the same). Due to this, college is the first time I really get to experiment with my style and I LOVE it.
My style can’t be described as one specific thing. I have looks considered to be preppy, boho and edgy. But, most days I combine elements from each, hence the fact I’m still figuring it out. I enjoy the chance I now have to try out new trends like the knee-high boots I’m wearing. I planned my outfit to accent the boots, going for a casual yet dressed up look with a comfortable red sweater dress.
I’m looking forward to the chance I get to be a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista this semester! I can’t wait to start writing articles, hope you enjoy reading them!
