Hello! My name is Abby Haslett and I am a sophomore at Penn State University. I am in the Smeal College of Business with an intended major in Marketing and a focus in retail. I am so excited to intern with CollegeFashionista and cannot wait to share my passion with everyone.
At the age of three, I went shopping with my grandma until midnight and have dressed to impress ever since then. From princess costumes and stick-on nails to Juicy Couture tracksuits and UGGs, fashion trends are constantly changing. I am constantly on Pinterest looking for inspiration and to see what’s new. Currently, my personal style varies depending on my mood, ranging anywhere from boho to grunge. I prefer neutral colors and believe that there is no such thing as having too many shoes. If I had to pick one store to live in it’d be Free People. I love the brand’s individuality and their cozy, yet free-spirited vibes that make an overall bold statement.
While my grandma is to “blame” for my shopping addiction, I am also very interested in makeup. I love how makeup can empower females and raise confidence. I take pride in my VIB Rouge status at Sephora and have so much fun playing around with different colors and looks (the best part is you can always wash it off).
It is not uncommon to arrive to class with minimal makeup in sweats, leggings and PSU attire; however, there’s no better feeling than being complimented on your outfit of the day. The students at Penn State are so diverse and I can’t wait to explore different styles with all of the Fashionistas/os this semester.
Recreating my look is simple; all you need is a Free People dress, a pair of combat boots and a fun ring set for an edgy and feminine look like mine.
