Hey, Fashionista/os! My name is Alex Riba and this is my second semester as a fellow CF blogger; which I am beyond pumped about. I am a sophomore at New York University and have finally adjusted to life back in NYC. I studied abroad in London for my freshman year so city life has been exhilarating, but a bit overwhelming as well.
One thing that I can be sure of when I walk out my dorm is that this amazing city is filled with Fashionista/os that inspire me to be the creative dresser that I strive to be every day. One of the most exciting things that New York has that London doesn’t, is a crowd that dresses eclectically. Everyone has their own style and is able to embrace how unique they are.
My passions outside of fashion are reading (sigh, I know), social media blogging and writing. I honestly get so much joy from doing this internship because it combines everything that I love. From creative styling, to photographing and then bringing the article to life with the writing portion is somewhat of a magical experience.
Lately, I’ve really been into simple looks that include ripped jeans, a longer shirt and a structured coat. However, I have days where I like to change things up a bit. This look is layered and is quite Penny Lane-esque for me. I chose over-knee socks instead of tights because they add a grungy element. The coat is oversized and bulky, but keeping the dress simple is key. A statement lip is always a go for me, and I never leave the house without one. Add a classic bag and sunnies, and the look is perfected. I am so happy to be joining the RAD team yet again this semester, and I look forward to sharing my passions and personal styling with you all.
