My name is Carolina Monestel, but I go by Caro, and I’m a spunky, bottle blonde from Costa Rica. I’ve grown up as a citizen of the world because my dad’s job took him just about everywhere. I’ve called crystal beaches, dense tropical forests and concrete cities home, and I try to reflect this sense of wanderlust through my style because it’s a critical part of my personal identity. I’m quirky with a strong tendency to dress preppy, which makes for an interesting combination. As for describing my taste, I fluctuate, and my style changes just about every day (probably as a result of my constantly changing environment). I don’t mind this though, as it makes for a great element of surprise and keeps things very interesting.
I’m currently a sophomore at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I’ve loved getting to know quaint little Savannah, but I’m looking forward to traveling to all the other SCAD campuses (Hong Kong, Lacoste and Atlanta). Ironically, I’m not a fashion major; I’m actually studying architecture, but that might change. I’m a free spirit, I roll with the tides and I’m thrilled to see what life has to offer.
