What’s up Fashionistas and Fashionistos! I’m back for my third and final semester being a Style Guru for the amazing Purdue University. It’s a bittersweet moment as the realization sets in that I will not have to deal with exams or homework much longer, but the thought of no longer being in college almost brings me to tears. College is basically where you can get away with almost anything and learn a lot about yourself before you emerge into the real world. That’s why I am going to make this my best semester yet! Not only through making memories, but also through my fashion.Â
What will I be doing this last semester you ask? Besides pretending that the whole semester is syllabus week until leading up to Purdue’s annual Grand Prix celebration, I have a lot of preparation for graduation (aka, I am on a mission—and I mean mission—to find my first job. Easier said than done but I am confident and excited for my adventures after graduation). I am also super excited to be studying abroad for spring break in the beautiful Greece. If your school has a study abroad program over spring break, I highly recommend you adventure out of the country for the week. Compared to your peers who will be partying it up on some overrated beach, you will have an experience of a lifetime. I am especially excited to go swimming in the Mediterranean Sea.
This being my third semester with CollegeFashionista, it’s awesome to look back on my work and see how much my style as evolved. Slowly I have started to realize that once I graduate I am going to have to up my wardrobe and start purchasing more work appropriate pieces. It is so easy to get sucked into comfy casual pieces and blowing all my money at lululemon on anything with the herringbone print. Don’t get me wrong, you can never have too much workout attire but the pieces we all dream of at Cusp and Neiman Marcus are going to take a little more saving for a post-grad. If you haven’t heard of Cusp, it is Neiman Marcus’ sister store for gals our age. Providing you with the latest in designer fashion as well as making you wish you had a money tree. I am absolutely obsessed with it! For now I’ll stick to my graphic T-shirts and Converse by day and ripped Lucky Brand jeans and Diane von Furstenberg heels by night.
