Hi, my name is Kendra Worley, and I am so excited to be apart of the Style Guru program! I am a senior communications major at SUNY Geneseo from Rochester, New York.
When I’m not busy with school, you can most likely find me working at Alex and Ani. On the off chance I have some downtime, I usually spend it with friends, reading (Gillian Flynn is my favorite author) or catching up on my favorite shows (Scandal and The Real Housewives are my top guilty pleasure shows, however I am a loyal fan of The Office and Parks and Recreation). I also look forward to coming home and spending time with not only my family, but also my two dogs, Tanner and Charlie.
My style is very diverse. I love pairing cool trendy pieces, like fur vests and jackets, with classic pieces like black dresses and dark denim. I also love accessorizing any outfit by layering necklaces and adding other pieces of jewelry. I am almost always wearing some fun beaded bangles from Alex and Ani and usually complete my outfit with some sort of lip-gloss. You can almost always find me with a dark nail color (99 percent of the time it will be “Lincoln Park After Dark” by OPI) and a fun bag to complete my look. Some of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe are from Free People, Aerie and Von Maur. I also love shopping at stores like Marshalls and T.J. Maxx because you can find amazing pieces for great prices. I always look to icons like Rachel Zoe and Gwen Stefani for style inspiration because I love how they are able to pair edgy and feminine pieces and still look put together and glamorous.
