Hi fellow Fashionistas/os! I’m Katy Hollinghead, and I’m a double major in apparel design and fashion retailing with a minor in general business.
I don’t believe I have a set style because one day I could be wearing something soft and sweet, and then the next day I could be rockin’ something totally edgy and experimental. I love to express myself with different styles and trends because I believe life is too short just to have one style.
I love mixing edgy with feminine just like this skirt and these shoes. The femininity of the tulle skirt mixed with the edginess of my short lumberjack combat boots give this outfit a totally unique look. Throw in an adorable Betsey Johnson bag like this one, and I’m ready for a day out. Mixing styles is one of my favorite ways to add some interest to my outfit.
Sale is my favorite four-letter word! I love finding cute things for a bargain. I believe one can dress cute without spending an arm and a leg. There may be one piece that I absolutely love that isn’t on sale, I’ll purchase it, but I’ll find pieces on sale to complete my outfit.
I love using all types of colors and patterns. Purple is definitely a color you’ll find in abundance in my closet and my jewelry box. Leopard is definitely a staple as well, and I consider leopard a neutral. You always find something leopard in my closet!
I use fashion as a form of self-expression! I feel dressing in a certain way can directly influence how you feel that day and vice-versa! When you dress fierce, you feel fierce.
