Hey babes, my name is Krista Irish and I am a sophomore at LIM College majoring in Fashion Merchandising with a concentration in styling. I love to read, take pictures and explore new places. Music is basically my entire life and inspires me in so many ways. I live in the most amazing city in the entire world, New York City, and am completely living my dream. I am from a small town in Florida and could not wait until it was time to get out and live in the city where dreams are made. Cliché, I know, but completely true.
Living in New York City is amazing because you are in the melting pot of the world; I gain inspiration everyday I walk down Fifth Avenue to class. I love seeing everyone’s unique and personal style and how they portray that in their clothes; here, nothing is off limits and it is fascinating to see how people embrace it.
Fashion is something that everyone can relate to on some level. No matter who you are or what you do you still get up in the morning and put clothes on and that is why I love this industry. You are able to reflect how you are feeling that day through your clothes and fashion is for everyone, no discrimination. You can wear what you want, when you want and how you want—and that is why I adore fashion.
I can’t wait to spend the semester with you all and take you inside my little world of fashion.
