What’s good, CollegeFashionistas/os?! It’s your girl Kelly A. Noonan, a sophomore marketing major at the University of Dayton and also minoring in maintaining my Instagram feed (@kellyanoonan). My fashion sense is inspired by the blogs that I follow, the documentaries I watch and the Spotify playlists I play on repeat. My biggest inspirations currently are Emma Mercury from the Messy Heads, a twenty year old hip style blogger and Iris Apfel, a ninety-four year old clothing and accessories guru.
These fashion inspirations encourage me to wear what reflects my mood, which always allows my style to evolve and my closet to drastically change. I would describe my style aesthetic as edgy vintage. I worship anything Rihanna has in her closet and aspire to be as fearless in my style. I also attempt to recreate Rihanna’s looks with my own classic twist. To carry out one of my staple looks, I wore my signature leather skirt and my favorite cashmere, vintage mock-neck with thigh-high socks. I then added my current accessory favorite, which is my fur pom keychain as a funky interest piece to my leather bag.To top off this ensemble, I balanced my structured leather jacket on my shoulders better than me balancing out my life. Overall, I love this look because it reflects who I am and makes me want to listen to French Navy by Camera Obscura.
Fashion is my major creative outlet and I am looking forward to writing for CollegeFashionista for my second semester! I challenge myself to scope out the best Fashionistas/os that Dayton’s campus has to offer and hope you buckle up for a chic journey.
