Hello fellow style addicts! My name is Jenna Newman and I’m a sophomore at Penn State’s Main Campus. I’m majoring in marketing and minoring in arts entrepreneurship. I’m trying to incorporate my love for art and fashion with my interest for working in the business world.
My personal style is very dependent on my mood, the weather, the season and anything else that effects my day. During the summer, I spend as much time as possible at the beach on Long Island. The beach vibes inspire my style to be more relaxed and bohemian. Wide-leg beach pants, boyfriend jeans or a pair of cutoff shorts with a simple camisole are my go-to looks, especially with a pair of Ray-Bans! During the winter, I spend more of my time in Manhattan seeing Broadway shows and, of course, going shopping! The city vibes inspire me to dress a little edgier. I cling to my favorite black leather jacket for dear life and any of my many pairs of black boots.
My absolute favorite thing to do is dress up for fancier events. I will take any excuse to wear a long elegant dress, heels and have my hair and makeup all done-up. I try to channel my inner Serena van der Woodsen and imagine I live a life so full of opportunities to dress my best. Not only does my mood inspire my style, but my style also inspires my mood. When I really love an outfit I’m wearing or even just how my hair and makeup looks on any given day, its like putting a double shot of confidence in my morning coffee.
When it comes to my style I definitely know what I like, don’t like and especially what I love. Overall, what I value most about my looks is staying classy yet sexy. It can be a bit of a balancing act!
