Hi Fashionistas/os! My name is Samantha Dickey, and I am currently a freshman at Kent State University majoring in fashion merchandising. I am so excited to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team this semester and show you all what is trending here at Kent.
As I was growing up, I started to get more into clothes as I went through school. I was able to develop a style that was different from other people. I enjoy standing out and being noticed for my style. Being able to dress up and keep up with the trends allowed me to express myself. Since my style is different and unique, it allows me to express my outgoing personality. I love being creative and mixing up my style every day and just being able to have fun with fashion.
My inspirations come from all over, whether it’s another student on campus or an article in Vogue. I really enjoy following the trends set from celebrities or the everyday bloggers. I really enjoy reading about different designers and their stories to see how they work to create styles. I am a Free People lover, a stylist for my local American Eagle Outfitters store and an avid pinner. I am currently obsessing over the trends of tomgirl jeans, blanket scarves and anything kate spade.
I am looking forward to sharing my fashion/style and beauty advice with you all this coming semester. So I will keep a look out for Fashionistas/os here at Kent State. I am so excited I received this opportunity and cannot wait to devote my time as a Style Guru.
