Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Leeann Sanders, and I am a senior at Anderson University this year. I am a communications/public relations major with a minor in marketing. I am so thrilled to be back with CollegeFashionista to spend my fourth semester as a Style Guru! As I get ready for my final semester of college and my final semester of being a Style Guru, I can easily say that getting to work with the CollegeFashionista team has been one of the best parts of my college career. Getting to work with people that adore fashion and beauty trends as much as I do has been amazing, and I have learned so many things from my first three semesters as a Style Guru. Being a Style Guru has taught me so much about embracing your personal style and expressing yourself in a chic, trendy way.
Style is one of the best ways to express our different tastes and show off the person that we are. I love that style is more than just the shirt we choose or how we do our hair, but it’s a way to incorporate our personality into our daily outfits. Rachel Zoe said it best: “Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak.” This chic and talented stylist couldn’t be more correct. This is still one of my all time favorite quotes. Our style is how we can express to everyone who really are.
My personal style is something that’s always evolving, but I tend to always go back to the basics. I love monochrome outfits, and if I could, I would easily rock an all black ensemble every day. I also love mixing different styles to create one that’s all my own. Mixing a leather jacket with a feminine skirt or a lace dress with studded boots are just a couple of my favorite ways to pair the two styles! By adding an unexpected accessory or main piece to an outfit, it’s a really great way to show off your unique style and personality.
If I’m not in class or reading a good book, you can almost always find me at Starbucks ordering a venti iced coffee, online shopping for yet another pair of shoes or reading through my favorite blogger’s Instagram’s and blog pages!
I am so excited to kick off my final semester as a Style Guru showing off the amazing outfits that I find on my campus! Anderson University is known for tough classes and smart students, but this semester let’s remind them that our students are not only smart, but fashionable, too!
