Hello! My name is Vidhi Chowdhari and I’m currently living in the Big Apple. I’ve always dreamed of living in New York City and I can’t believe I’m going to be here for the next three and half years. Ever since a young age, I’ve been purely amazed by the wholesale, retail world and understanding various areas of the fashion business. I’ve been fascinated by clothes and have cultivated a great work ethic. I’ve been a workaholic from a very young age and it is a dream of mine to work in the fashion industry.
As a freshman in New York City, I’m studying at LIM College and majoring in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in International Marketing. My passion has led me to dream of working in the product development field of the fashion industry. I can imagine myself traveling to different countries, working in different factories, and assembling new products with famous designers in the future.
In my free time, I like to be around people and hang out with family and friends. I’m a huge extrovert and having people around me gives me energy. The city is the perfect place to live in when you’ve got a great group of people that you’re with. I’m so fortunate to have found such amazing friends in my first semester. On campus, I am very active and I have many different roles such as being a member in the International Students Club, being Co-Director of Marketing for the LIM College Fashion in 2016, and being Secretary of the Philanthropy Club.
My style is very simple, yet chic. I like to go for simple patterns and I am all about textures. My favorite colors to wear are black, white, gray and dark blue. The fabrics I wear often are suede, silk, cotton, fur and leather. In this photoshoot, I wanted to go with a winter theme and show fur is still in season. In this particular outfit, I am wearing an ivory colored Diane von Furstenberg Denver fur knit vest. Under the thick warm vest, I am wearing a Tall Long Sleeve Funnel Neck Body from Topshop. On the bottom half, I am wearing Simply Vera Vera Wang women’s shaper leggings and black SO® women’s sweater-knit wedge ankle boots from Kohl’s. The rose gold watch I am wearing is from New York & Company.
