Hi Fashionistas! I’m Megan Cuculich and I’m currently a freshman studying fashion merchandising at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. What better place to be immersed into the fashion industry other than the fashion capital of the world? I’m a lover of shopping and everything expensive. Although, I love a great steal. I adore going to designer sample sales where I can find amazing pieces for an awesome price.
Some of my favorite designers include Dolce&Gabbana, Vince, Helmut Lang, alice + olivia and Ralph Lauren. I’m always wearing black because it is so flattering and you can never go wrong with it. Although, I love to live colorfully like kate spade and add a few glam accessories here and there. My usual winter outfit consist of black leggings, a cute statement jacket and a pair of winter boots.
I appreciate spending time with friends and family. They support me and all my bad habits (a.k.a. my shopping addiction). I love going to Sunday brunch with friends and the occasional Broadway play here and there. I’m very interested in art and love being in a city that combines fashion and art everywhere you go. There’s also so many great museums in the city, my two favorites are MOMA and The Met.
One of my favorite things to do is travel, I have been all over the world. I’m passionate about finding unique accessories to add character to my outfits from different places. I think it also makes me a well rounded person learning about different cultures and how people live. It makes me more aware of the world around me.
After college, I’m hoping to get an internship in the bridal industry. I worked in a bridal salon in my hometown of Syracuse, New York. I was devoted to helping brides find the perfect dress on their special day. Although, I’m willing to start a career in any part of the fashion industry and see what crazy path it leads me down. The fashion industry is such an amazing world and I’m glad I can be apart of it.
