Well hello there lovely readers!
I’m Natalie, and I’m a junior at DePaul University studying Media Communications in the glorious city of Chicago. Yes- it gets cold in the winter! No- I will not be wearing a parka when it snows! Plenty of my fellow Phi Mu sisters are Style Gurus, so if I run out of ideas, I’ll ask them for fashion help.
I’m thrilled to be back with CollegeFashionista especially because I just spent three months in London and brought back a whole new sense of style and eye for fashion with me after living in only Nikes, Lulu leggings and oversize sweaters but witnessing the height of couture around me. Simplistic, straight-lines, pastels and leather, and some solid gold accessories for a smack of sass were the go-to pieces for a successful UK look and I’m not letting go of it yet! Forget summertime Natalie who relies on jeans with a tank top and no makeup- I’m all about the statement lip now. And and easy way to make friends? Get a fur jacket and see how many people secretly pet your arm on the train because it looks SO soft.
Since it’s the holiday season, the look I’m wearing is a typical “fancy lassie going downtown” ensemble for the twenty-something and it’s primarily Topshop with Brandy Melville accessories. I go between boho, streamline and basketball-wife-trashy in a matter of minutes so join me on my quest to find style in America- I have faith in Chicago to deliver!
