Hey Fashionistas/os, I’m back for the spring semester! I am very excited to be back with new styles and new stories to tell.
My name is Nikole Wieneke and I am your Style Guru for the spring semester. I reside in the fabulous New York City and currently go to school at Parsons New School for Design. I have lived in New Jersey all of my life; however, my family currently resides in Connecticut. Fashion has always been an integral part of my life; from playing dress up in my mom’s closet when I was a child to designing dresses in college, being a Fashionista is a part of who I am.
I consider my personal style to be somewhere in the middle of grunge and minimalistic.; however, during my fall semester, I became more drawn to the minimalistic look. My holiday outfit here exemplifies this. I kept with the grunge look by taking accessories, such as my choker and beaded bracelets, and paired it with my sleek, minimally patterned outfit. I wore a plain, black A-line dress and layer it with a black and white striped turtleneck. This simple style is something I have picked up from other Fashionistas and Fashionistos around New York City; they keep it straight to the point, but still classy and fashionable. I finished my look with a pair of high heeled booties and a bold red lip for a classy look perfect for the holiday season.
In general, I’m thrilled to be apart of the CollegeFashionista crew this spring semester and am excited to contribute more of my findings in New York City. Stay tuned for my future articles.
