Modern, classic and chic are all things that come to mind when I think of Givenchy. The spring ready-to-wear line this year was nothing less than impeccable. This collection was full of hues of whites and blacks and I saw a lot of tailored pants which is something that I adore. I tried to channel my inner love for Givenchy with this look while adding my own touch at the same time.
This time of year there are many holidays and events upon us which gives us a lot of opportunities to glam it up. You can always catch me admiring anything that sparkles simply because when I see sparkle my mind instantly goes to glamour and that is a key factor that I always try to incorporate into my wardrobe. Givenchy always pays close attention to detail and there is always some sparkle in each collection.
You can never go wrong with black and some sparkle. Cold weather makes it difficult for us to look our best, which is why it is important to have a nice tailored pair of pants in our wardrobes that we can dress up or down. These pants have just the right amount of stretch which makes them comfortable and easier to wear. Draped blouses are a major trend that you see quite frequently today and Givenchy did an excellent job displaying this trend within this collection. This blouse, in particular, spoke to me when I saw it because it had just the right amount of sparkle and the draping was so elegant, I had to have it in my wardrobe. Gold and black are two colors that I can never get enough of, they are two colors that just make everything look edgy but chic.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: accessories are key to any outfit—they complete any and every look. This black tie belt and chandelier earrings really just pull this whole look together. The earrings add just the extra amount of sparkle that this outfit needed. The sling back open toed booties are so chic and so comfortable-perfect for any occasion. These could also be incorporated into spring and summer wardrobes as well. If you ever feel like your look is too simplistic, you can always add accessories and everything will instantly look that much better.
