This look also becomes the sweatpant look in the winter, but there is an easy way to take this comfortable and seasonal staple and make it look more put together and less thrown together.
This Fashionista is a prime example of how to dress up a simple look while keeping that effortless look and feel. She took a basic winter trend, a sweater, and stepped it up to the next level by wearing a poncho wrap instead of the typical over sized sweater. The print on the wrap added interest and movement, but the monochromatic colors keep it toned down so we focus on her accessories. To keep the focus on the accessories she wore a pair of black leggings and a white long sleeve V-neck. The V-neck created a bit of flair and added a blank canvas for her statement necklace. The Fashionista brought spring to the dull winter with a floral gem statement necklace, that truly made a statement. Spring was blooming with soft pastel toned gems that brought a pop of color and pattern to her neutral toned look.
Spring was also “blooming” on her wrist with this Lilly Pulitzer Photodome bracelet adding more color but not being overly flashy. The rest of her accessories she kept simple so the focus was on her bracelet and necklace; she added a simple pair of pearl stud earrings and a gold large-faced watch and a Lokai bracelet. On her feet, she has a simple pair of brown riding boots, keeping the simple look and the focus on her accessories. Her bag was just a simple The North Face black backpack.
