I could not be any happier that winter is here, and California is finally getting some snow after years of having absolutely none! Although I definitely prefer summer, I’m excited to spend time in Tahoe skiing and snowboarding with family in the amazing conditions. To me, winter is all about staying warm while looking fashionable, and in order to achieve this, I’ve recently made a purchase that follows suit.
In the ready-to-wear fall 2015 collection for Moncler, founder and head of design Thom Browne created multiple winter looks that were anchored by the puffer jacket. In his collection, there was an array of colors from beautiful blues to deep reds, yellows and, of course, black. The particular outfit that caught my eye was the textured puffer jacket in red. The color stood out among the other outfits and inspired me to find something of a similar look.
To create this look, I wore one of my favorite Wildfox sweaters underneath my Bogner puffer jacket. Paired with black Joie booties, I wore high-waisted black skinny jeans. To finish off the look, I added my favorite Céline cross-body bag.
Instead of wearing jewelry that would not be visible underneath my puffer jacket, I added a hat and scarf, not only to keep me warm, but also to accessorize my outfit. To finish accessorizing my outfit, I put on one of my favorite pair of Miu Miu sunglasses.
I enjoy taking a variety of seasonal runway trends and incorporating them into my own style. My favorite accessories are purses; I believe they can truly dress-up or dress-down any outfit.
Get My Look: 1. Puffer jacket. 2. Black booties. 3. Wildfox sweater.
