All year-round, pink, black and white are essential colors in my wardrobe. I love the feminine and classy touch they give to any outfit. My closet is primarily filled with these three colors. So, when I saw the Alexander McQueen Spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection, I was inspired to use all three shades in one outfit. Alexander McQueen’s collection consists of pastel pinks, white, black and few shades of red. The outfits incorporated sheer fabric and also floral designs, which is one my favorite patterns. The whole collection was feminine and elegant.
Since I have so many similar colored pieces in my closet, I knew I could create a casual outfit inspired by the collection. Inspired by this look, I took a white top that had lace floral detailing at the bottom and paired it with a simple pair of skinny jeans. Pairing lace with jeans gives a casual-chic vibe that I love. Considering the winter season, I needed a piece to keep me warm. I put on a pink knit cardigan, which is just about the perfect pink shade I needed to recreate the color palette from Alexander McQueen’s collection. To add black to my outfit, I put on my favorite pair of black booties. The boots have a small heel, perfect for a feminine-chic look, but still casual since the heel is not high. This is a great look for a casual day. All together, the outfit is classic and girly, exactly what I was trying to achieve and just as Alexander McQueen did in his Spring 2016 collection.
