What’s up fashion curious world? I’m glad you’ve found your way to my third STYLE GURU BIO. With so many different pools of inspiration to swim in, I hope what I have to say is something that resonates with you and your style.
My name is Rachel Rosa Colonna, first generation American with parents from Italy and Brazil. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, I decided I needed a little adventure of my own and chose to attend the beautiful Loyola University Chicago. Approaching my sophomore spring semester, I’m working towards a minor in Visual Communication and am looking into switching my major from Advertising and Public Relations to Creative Advertising.
This city has impacted who I am in such intricate ways. It has pushed me beyond my limits and showed me that I am capable of anything if I buckle down and set my mind to it. When the you-know-what hits the fan, I always say ‘if you look good, you feel good.’ Stress has proven no match to a sassy lip color and a boss pair of heeled booties. I promise.
Fashion to me is a romantic, ever-changing means of communication. It expresses identity. It reveals moods. Like a golden wrapper’s relationship with dark chocolate, it greets a person before they get to know what’s inside. People can chose to wear their favorite band T-shirts, showing the world a little more incite into who they are, or keep their interests a total mystery. Fashion is personal. Fashion is exciting.
