This has been an odd winter for us at Iowa State, and many can agree. To having a blizzard the week of Thanksgiving, not having the traditional white Christmas we had all be hoping for and then trudging through rain on New Year’s, Iowa has seen it all. The past week has had its up and down where the wind chill was harsh, but today was one of the nicest days we have had this season.
I was lucky enough to catch this bold Fashionista on her way to one of her English classes. I have always seen people flawlessly pair denim and denim together, but never an outfit that combines two denim pieces and two faux suede pieces into one look. This Fashionista wore classic, dark wash jeggings with a light sweater and an embroidered denim vest with a faux suede jacket to top it off. She rocked her natural curls, which is always easy for an on-the-go day of classes.
This Fashionista had already made the look her own by pairing denim-on-denim and suede-on-suede, but she accessorized with a gold chain choker and a statement purse to make it even more unique. The subtle necklace set the look, and the purple bag gave a bold pop of color. She finished everything off with tall suede wedge boots.
