Searching through Vogue.com was one of the most difficult tasks I could face. I would find a runway show that fit my style, but doubt it and choose another. I finally stumbled upon the pre-fall 2015 runway show by Clare Waight Keller and fell in completely in love. This was a Chloé collection inspired by David Bowie. This show is full of earth tones and subtle colors. It is the perfect twist of dressy casual and easy to piece together.
This runway was extremely similar to my everyday style. Most looks were laid back yet upscale enough to work for any day you face. The loose fit of the looks brings comfort to a long work day, yet they are relaxed enough for a walk to class. I searched my closet for what seemed like forever to find what would be my take on this style.
I tend to wear dark outfits with very little print. I focus on the color black and do not stray far from it with each piece. If I need a brighter outfit, earth tones are my next option. They go with everything and are easily put together. I chose the sweater I am wearing because the colors in it are subtle enough to not overpower the whole outfit. The pants are relaxed, but the material they are made of can help complete a more professional look. I don’t have boots like those in the show so went for something more relaxed with some oxfords.
The colors in this runway by Waight Keller are the main colors in my closet. I dressed up the runway look with a bit of jewelry and a cute hat to add my style to it. I truly enjoyed this runway and could make many outfits based off of it.
Get My Look: 1. High-waisted pants. 2. Panama hat. 3. Tribal sweater. 4. Black oxfords.
