‘Tis the season of unwanted, freezing, brisk weather. Not even Florida State University is lucky enough to avoid weather in the low thirties this month. No one is brave enough to venture campus without a jacket on, especially in the mornings. I caught this Fashionista rocking an out of this world denim jacket just as the sun was rising.
The jacket stood out to me because of its light wash and destroyed texture. I’m a destroyed denim type of gal; anything ’90s related has my name written all over it. I also loved the little alien patch on the one shoulder. Denim jackets are super hot for spring no matter if you are jet setting to spring break or late to class because you desperately could not live without your venti Starbucks lemonade. It can be worn in various different ways—from pencil skirt to black jeans.
This Fashionista’s trendy jacket is from Brandy Melville and she paired her jacket with some ripped black skinny jeans from Abercrombie & Fitch (post re-branding). Even if you find a denim jacket you absolutely love but it doesn’t have any patches, you can buy iron on ones at any fabric or craft store. I loved how she rolled up the bottoms just a little bit to see some skin in between the jeans and her booties. Speaking of, these amazing buckle ankle booties are from Steve Madden.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I like to wear comfy casual clothes to class, always. If it’s cold outside and I can throw it on in five minutes and be able to walk out the door, I’ll wear it. A big selling factor for me was the patch–not gonna lie!”
