STYLE GURU STYLE: Leather, Distressed And Red At It's Best

This winter seems like a dream compared to the winter Michigan State students suffered through last year. These warms days that drift into the mix make it confusing on how to dress to stay warm without bundling up too much. My favorite way to fix this problem is the ever classic black leather jacket.

Taking inspiration from Just Cavalli’s pre-fall 2016 collection, I paired up a pair of my favorite distressed blue jeans and my go-to leather jacket. I have a simpler style than this particular outfit so to make this look more me, I chose a solid red tank top instead of their black and red striped sweater.

For my shoes, I chose quick slip on Nikes that I can stand to walk in all day. Since to get to campus I have to walk 40 minutes each way, wearing shoes that will not destroy my feet is a must. The jeans I paired this look with are a steal I got at the end of the season American Eagle sale. Another way I would change up this look is to pair the leather jacket with light destroyed boyfriend jeans.

Most days my hair is uncontrollable when I roll out of bed. I took this models messy-chic hair as inspiration to double french braid my hair for an edgier take on my look. I love how this look can make you look very chic or like an edgy ball buster. One leather jacket can create and endless amount of fashionable looks; I love seeing other Fashionistas around campus sporting their’s. Rock on!
